Mentoring

Most people can benefit from a mentoring relationship at work.  Research has shown that career success, work satisfaction and resiliency to stress are all enhanced by a  mentoring relationship. This is when individuals can meet with someone else in their organisation either a peer or a senior member of staff who can provide a space for the employee to explore how they are doing at work and offer reinforcement of their self worth. A mentor’s guidance can help to avoid stressful situations and provides  support in coping with them when they arise.  If both people are committed to the process and actively contributing to it then the mentoring relationship becomes mutually beneficial
